Characteristics of Cold Wave Action in Handan of Hebei Province from 1976 to 2016

Abstract: According to national standard of cold wave grade, based on daily minimum temperature data from 16 weather stations in Handan of Hebei Province from 1976 to 2016, the characteristics of frequency, cooling duration and range and the minimum temperature of 24-hour, 48-hour and 72-hour cold wave processes and the change trend of cold wave action were statistically analyzed by using linear trend and Mann-Kendall test methods. The results show that the cold wave actions appeared mainly from September to next May in Handan of Hebei Province, especially in late autumn and early spring. The frequency of cold waves was high in eastern and northern Handan, while that was low in the central region. The duration days of cooling during the cold wave processes was from 1 day to 6 days, which was negative related with frequency and positive related with cooling range. The maximum of monthly average cooling range during 24-hour, 48-hour and 72-hour cold wave processes appeared in May, September and November, respectively. The average minimum temperature of cooling process was -4.20, -4.99, -6.96 ℃, respectively. The monthly mean minimum temperature appeared in January, and followed by December. The cold air path of cold wave actions was dominated by the northwest and westward paths, and the circulation situation was mainly a ridge and a trough pattern and transverse trough pattern. The frequency of 24-hour, 48-hour and 72-hour cold wave processes decreased significantly in Handan from 1976 to 2016 as a whole, but the interdecadal variation characteristic was obvious, it increased first and then dropped, the abrupt change appeared in 2009,2009 and 2012, respectively.

摘要: 利用1976—2016年河北邯郸16个气象观测站逐日最低气温资料,根据国家寒潮等级标准,采用线性趋势、M-K检验等方法,对邯郸各站24、48、72 h寒潮发生频次和降温持续日数及降温幅度等特征以及寒潮频次变化趋势进行统计分析。结果表明:邯郸寒潮活动出现在9月到翌年5月,深秋和初春发生最多。东部和北部为寒潮多发区,而中部发生频次最低。寒潮过程降温持续日数为1~6 d,降温持续日数与发生频次呈反相关,而与降温幅度呈正相关。24、48、72 h寒潮过程月平均最大降温幅度分别出现在5、9、11月,过程最低气温平均分别为-4.20、-4.99、-6.96 ℃,过程月平均最低气温1月最低,12月次低。邯郸寒潮过程的冷空气路径以西北和偏西路径为主,环流形势主要为一脊一槽型和横槽型。近41 a邯郸24、48、72 h寒潮过程整体均呈显著减少趋势,且具有明显的“先增后减”的年代际变化,突变时间为2009、2009、2012年。
